 The Rota-flow is a fully automated process machine, which gives
a unique reciprocating action and is used for such processes as,
> Bright Dipping
> Cleaning/Washing
> Pickling
> Chromating
> Chemical Blacking
> Phosphating, etc
Rota-flow can be used for any process requiring agitation and
transfer, which is made from barrel to barrel. Any number of
barrels can be used to suit the chemical sequence. The barrel
unit, which is the only moving part, is hydraulically operated,
actuating constant shockless reversals of the barrel, which
produce an agitated rocking action during processing. On a
signal from the process timer the barrel makes one complete
revolution, transferring the work from one barrel to the next.
The unique reciprocating barrel action causes very efficient agitation giving a high uniformity of finish
to work loads. It has been found that the bright dipping of hot brass stampings will considerably
increase tool life on subsequent machining operations, etc, due to the removal of hard skin. Clear
polycarbonate splashguards are built into the machine, and to give complete protection to operating
mechanisms, all internal parts are made of stainless steel, which also greatly increases the working
life of the barrel outer diameter plates. When these finally wear, they are easily replaced within
a few minutes.
